Have a Great Epiphany!
Today, January 6th Marks Epiphany, the coming of the Magi.
Why is this important?
The Epiphany celebrates God's revealing or manifesting of Jesus' identity as true God, Messiah, and Savior of the world. It not only commemorates the fact that Jesus appeared to save us, but that God revealed the identity of Jesus to the world. The Magi - or Wise Men - Came to present gifts to the new King. They represented not Jerusalem, not the Jews, but the whole World. It shows that Jesus is Lord for all. And then the Magi did what we all should be doing. They didn't just hang out with Christ and stop their journey there. They continued - back to their homelands, and along the way - let everyone know of Christ the King.
